Since its creation, Tara Jarmon has been committed to ensuring tu on your most beautiful adventures, are passed on from generation to generation.
This is why our Studio places great importance on the choice of materials and the design of ithat its creations, which accompany yos pieces.
Thus, much more than a story of fabric, it is a story of heritage.

But how do you care for your pieces and make them last season after season?
Here is our practical guide to caring for your favourite pieces!
WASHING AND DRYING
Wool has natural self-cleaning properties, so there is no need to wash it often. Most of the time, airing is the best way to take care of its knitwear. And if there is a stain, try cleaning it thoroughly with a damp cloth first.
If that's not enough, the best option for washing your jumpers is to choose the wool or delicate cycle at low temperature and use a special wool detergent.

Even better, you can hand wash them in warm water but avoid rubbing and wringing as this damages the fibre structure.
Wool does not like to be dried in the tumble dryer, so it is best to dry it flat in the open air on a large towel.

CARE AND STORAGE
Pilling is not a sign of poor quality, it is a natural process caused by the friction of untreated fibres. They can be easily removed with a special comb or fabric razor.
It is better to store your knitwear flat than on a hanger, which can distort them. You can add sachets of dried lavender to keep moths away.
WASHING AND DRYING
For our cotton shirts, which we wear all year round, a 40°C machine wash is generally suitable (not more than that as it could damage the fibres).
It is preferable to dry your shirt naturally by hanging it on a wide enough hanger (wooden or plastic) so as not to deform the shoulders, and this also makes ironing easier! To make ironing even easier, iron the shirt while it is still damp.

CARE AND STORAGE
To avoid marking and deforming the shoulders, store your shirt on a wide hanger with rounded edges rather than a metal hanger.
If you do not have a wardrobe, carefully fold your shirt in the right places to store it flat.
WASHING AND DRYING
Washing at 40°C or even 60°C is often recommended for cotton T-shirts, but if your T-shirt is not very dirty, washing at 30°C is sufficient. Washing at a cooler temperature protects the fibres of the T-shirt and avoids any risk of shrinkage. It also saves energy!
To avoid colour transfer, always wash your T-shirt with clothes of a similar colour.

CARE AND STORAGE
Carefully fold your cotton T-shirt and store it flat in your wardrobe until you need to use it again.
WASHING AND DRYING
In order to keep your favourite jeans for years, wash them as little as possible. If possible, we recommend washing once a year. Jeans naturally contain a lot of water, and washing them too regularly will only add water, which will relax the fibres.
Therefore, air your jeans a few hours after each wear. Spray with fabric spray to keep them smelling fresh.

When it's time to wash your jeans, turn them inside out and zip them up. Avoid loading the machine (2 to 3 jeans per wash) and wash at 30°C with little detergent.
A light spin (no more than 600 revolutions per minute) will be sufficient to avoid flattening the fabric.

Take your jeans out at the end of the cycle and shake them a little, holding them by the waistband to help them regain their shape.
Do not use a tumble dryer as it exposes the jeans to very high temperatures and can alter their colour and fibres. Always hang them up in the open air on the reverse side.
WASHING AND DRYING
To wash your wool coat thoroughly, place it in a protective net and then start a delicate wool cycle with a special detergent. Be careful, the cycle should not contain any spinning. After washing, leave it to dry flat, never put it in the tumble dryer.

CARE AND STORAGE
Like wool knitwear, wool coats are naturally stain-resistant and self-cleaning, so they do not require much maintenance.
However, to get rid of dirt and dust, you can brush the fabric from time to time with a clothes brush.

To keep your coat in shape, it is best to hang it on a hanger rather than on a coat rack when you come home.

At the end of the winter, take your coat to the dry cleaners before putting it in a garment bag.
CARE AND STORAGE
Made of a noble material, a leather bag is intended to accompany you for as long as possible. It is therefore essential to take care of it to prolong its life and make it look good season after season.

To do this, clean your smooth leather bag regularly with a soft, damp cloth to remove dirt and dust. From time to time, polish it with leather wax or body cream (an alternative tip that also works very well!) without forgetting to treat heavily used areas such as the handles.

For your leather bags, remove dirt and dust using a soft bristle brush. If they have streaks, use a rubber brush and scrub lightly. Don't forget to waterproof it to protect it on rainy days.

When storing your bag for a long time, keep it in its cloth bag to protect it from dust. Store it in a dry and dark place.
To keep your bag in shape, stuff it with tissue paper or cloth.
CARE AND STORAGE
Our shoes are part of our daily lives and therefore require regular care.
To prevent the leather from wearing out quickly, avoid wearing the same pair of shoes every day.

As with your leather bags, clean your shoes regularly with a soft, damp cloth to remove dirt and dust.
From time to time, wax them with shoe cream or shoe polish to bring out their shine.

Between uses, the shoe trees will help keep the shape of the shoe (the well-known newspaper trick works just as well).
When your shoes are wet, let them dry at room temperature and avoid heat to prevent the leather from drying out and cracking.

For smelly shoes, use a disinfectant spray and leave overnight. This also works well with tea bags.
